Job Requirements

  • 6+ years of total experience in high-growth B2B SaaS environments, with at least 2+ years in a Chief of Staff, Strategy/Operations, Sales Ops, or Management Consulting role.
  • Deep understanding of software GTM models, Pipeline Mechanics, Sales stages, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and marketing conversion funnels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of moving complex, ambiguous projects from ideation to execution.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, navigate corporate dynamics, and influence senior leaders across functions without direct authority.
  • Strong capability to turn raw data into strategic narratives, paired with elite slide-building and presentation design skills.

Role Description We are looking for a Chief of Staff to work directly with the Founder & General Partner to help build and scale the firm from the ground up. This role will focus on strategic execution, fundraising support, investment operations, and ecosystem development, helping grow 16VC across the UK, USA, and globally. You will act as a strategic partner to the founder, helping shape the firm during its early stage and ensuring smooth coordination across investors, founders, fellowship partners, and internal initiatives. NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service. DOFs Tax Audit and Enforcement Division is charged with the audit of all business and excise taxes administered by New York City. The division conducts audits related to corporate, personal, sales, and use taxes. City tax auditors conduct audits of selected audit candidates with a goal of determining the appropriate tax liability of each taxpayer and applying NYC rules and laws in accordance with the City's policies and procedures. The Office of Tax Audit is charged with the audit of all business and excise taxes administered by the City of New York. Tax Audit conducts audits of general corporation tax, business corporation tax, commercial rent tax, unincorporated business tax, hotel tax, utility tax, real property transfer tax, and bank tax. Tax Audit also conducts NYC personal income tax and sales and use tax audits within New York City. Tax auditors conduct audits of selected candidates in the various administered taxes, with a goal of determining the appropriate tax liability of each taxpayer. The Office of Tax Audit includes the Field Unit, which conducts audits in the field, and the Non-field Unit, which conducts correspondence audits. Tax Audit is seeking Group Chiefs to serve in the Audit Business Income Tax unit. Reporting to the Assistant Director of BIT/GCT Taxes, the selected candidates' duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: - Supervise the day-to-day unit operations process as well as train staff in the field examination(s) of filed returns, unfiled transactions of varied complexity, advise staff on audit issues, and relevant tax laws and regulations. - Monitor auditor's case inventory and resolution progress; formulate audit plans to maximize time-management efficiency and potential of auditors assigned to the group. - Conduct independent research necessary to resolve complex audit issues. Instruct auditors on the rules, procedures, and regulations consistent with federal, state or local tax laws to determine proper compliance. - Use the monthly reports and other data to maximize the auditors and the groups efficiency. - Prepare reports and perform related tasks. - Screen audit leads for potential assignments. - Serve as team leader on complex audits. - Serve as a trainer and mentor for newly hired auditors. Additional Information: In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
