Role Description As a Finance Operations Associate / Workforce Analyst, you will play a central role in managing day-to-day finance and operational workflows. You will maintain accurate financial records, support reporting, manage vendors and contractors, and improve internal processes. You will also partner with leadership to identify efficiencies, ensure compliance, and contribute to strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable operating across multiple systems and stakeholders in a fast-paced startup environment. Your Impact - Ensure smooth financial and operational workflows that enable fast, confident growth. - Maintain accurate financial records and reports to support leadership decisions. - Drive process improvements that reduce manual work, prevent errors, and scale operational efficiency. - Support payroll, compliance, and contractor management to maintain a seamless talent experience. - Enhance team productivity and cross-functional collaboration through effective use of tools and systems. Areas of Responsibility - Finance Operations – 50% - Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts across banks, payment platforms, and credit cards. - Prepare and issue invoices, track receivables, and process payments for vendors, contractors, and talent. - Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting for leadership visibility. - Manage compliance documents (W9, W8BEN, tax forms) and ensure accuracy for audits and filings. - Track bonuses, payroll timelines, and SOP adherence to maintain financial consistency. - Process Improvement & Automation – 30% - Identify gaps or bottlenecks in financial and backend workflows. - Implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce errors. - Standardize templates, trackers, and reporting structures for consistent operations. - Recommend and deploy automation tools where appropriate. - Cross-Functional Support – 20% - Partner with leadership on special projects and operational initiatives. - Support onboarding of new team members and contractors. - Collaborate with finance, HR, and operations teams to ensure process alignment. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or workforce analytics. - Proficiency with financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting. - Experience managing payroll, contractor payments, and compliance documentation. - Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. - Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced, remote environments. Requirements - Must-Haves (Required) - QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, Bill.com, Payoneer, Wise, Remote, Deel, Gusto, ADP, Slack, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) - Nice-to-Haves (Preferred) - Experience with international finance, multi-currency payments, or remote workforce operations. - Familiarity with workflow automation tools or operational process optimization. - Exposure to startup environments or high-growth companies. - Secondary finance or operational certifications.
