Job Description

Insurance Technician II – Billing, Life Insurance Operations

Alper Seguros

• Ensure the billing kits are reviewed and sent to clients within established SLAs so that payments are made by the due dates. • Receive and verify the transactions/files submitted by the client, ensuring they comply with contractual rules. • When analysis of the Enrollment Proposal is required, be responsible for reviewing, sending and following up with the insurer and the client. • Upload files to the insurers' websites or send them by e-mail when required. • Download invoices via the websites/channels provided by the insurers, verify and send them to clients; if there are inconsistencies, return them to the insurer for the necessary adjustments. • Store the files provided by clients and insurers in each client's internal system. • Prepare reports and cost allocations (prorations) using internal tools, following the model requested by the client. • Send the billing kits, within the established SLA, containing the required files by e-mail or through the system to clients. • Negotiate extensions of boleto due dates with carriers/operators in case of failures or delays by the team. • Clarify client doubts via e-mail or phone. • Post endorsements in Alper's internal system. • Keep internal controls properly completed and updated. • Propose improvements to the processes under your responsibility. • Contribute to the training of Insurance Technician I staff. • Participate in meetings with clients. • Focus on corporate clients.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required; coursework toward a university degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or related fields is desirable.
  • Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
  • Basic knowledge of Group Life Insurance.
  • Behavioral: commitment to delivery quality; organized; analytical; good communication skills.
