Senior Software Engineer

• Support a Federal Government application and website support program by architecting, administering, configuring, patching, upgrading, securing, and troubleshooting SharePoint, Nintex K2, Drupal, Azure, F5, Power Gateway, and related application infrastructure environments. • Provide senior-level engineering support across development, test, staging, production, internal, external, public website, and Azure-hosted environments. • Work closely with application developers, database administrators, security teams, network teams, project managers, and federal stakeholders to maintain a secure, reliable, compliant, and high-performing application infrastructure. • Configure SharePoint Online site collections, permissions, app registrations, web parts, and custom components. • Support SharePoint site migrations from on-premises environments to SharePoint Online. • Support Azure-hosted application infrastructure, including VMs, resource groups, managed identities, access policies, Key Vault, Private Link, App Services, and related dependent resources. • Create and maintain automated monitoring jobs for websites, services, SSL certificates, IIS AppPools, scheduled tasks, disk utilization, and system health. • Configure and run vulnerability scans using tools such as Netsparker and Tenable Nessus; interpret findings and support remediation. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, security documentation, infrastructure diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks. • Provide remote and occasional onsite support for federal stakeholders, including after-hours and maintenance-window support when required.
Job Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience architecting, administering, patching, and configuring SharePoint on-premises 2016/2019/Subscription Edition and SharePoint Online.
- Experience configuring SharePoint Online and migrating SharePoint sites from on-premises to SharePoint Online.
- Experience configuring and managing Power Gateway.
- At least 5 years of experience configuring and upgrading Nintex K2 automation.
- Experience configuring and managing F5 Silverline Web Application Firewall Proxy, SSL settings, threat profile settings, and firewall/connectivity troubleshooting.
- More than 5 years of experience supporting Drupal 8/9/10/11 in Azure.
- More than 5 years of experience creating Azure resource groups, provisioning virtual machines and associated resources, and managing firewall rules through Network Security Groups.
- More than 5 years of experience supporting FISMA security assessment and authorization activities.
- Experience managing servers in Azure.
- Experience supporting application infrastructure in development, test, staging, and production environments.

• Build and ship features across the stack: Next.js dashboards, FastAPI endpoints, and the Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL) data layer behind them. • Work with Amazon data integrations: SP-API and Advertising API report requests, polling lifecycles, token refresh, rate-limit handling, and mapping responses into our schemas. • Maintain and extend the reporting pipeline: scheduled report generation, batch processing through Cloud Tasks, and the running, queued, completed, and failed states around long-running jobs. • Optimise data-heavy frontend views (schedule lists, vendor, seller, and catalogue tables): list virtualisation, pagination, code-splitting, render performance, and TanStack React Query cache tuning. • Tune the serving platform: Cloud Run cold starts, concurrency, and minimum instances, hosting and content delivery network (CDN), and the trade-off between latency and cost. • Optimise the read path in Structured Query Language (SQL) across BigQuery and PostgreSQL, and help evolve the schema as we migrate workloads. • Establish performance measurement (Core Web Vitals, application programming interface (API) latency, Cloud Run metrics) and act on the real bottlenecks rather than assumptions. • Write clean, well-tested code: unit tests on service logic, integration tests on endpoints.
