Preconstruction and Project Coordinator
Remote RavenGrow Your Business Seamlessly & Cost Effectively.
Role Description They are hiring a Preconstruction & Project Coordinator to take ownership of detailed preconstruction and project coordination work, to think critically about drawings and proposals, and to help turn incomplete information into organized, actionable project decisions. You will work directly with the Director of Construction and gain full exposure to estimating, procurement, constructability review, design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, buyout, and active project management. The role initially focuses on preconstruction and estimating support. As you demonstrate strong judgment and ownership, it is expected to grow into broader project-management responsibilities across an active pipeline that includes: - Restaurant tenant improvements - Ground-up luxury ADU - Commercial second-story addition - Core-and-shell electrical upgrade - Façade renovations with structural upgrades - Two-story mixed-use ground-up development scheduled to begin in 2027 Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience in construction preconstruction, estimating, project engineering, or project management. - Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and trade sequencing. - Demonstrated experience preparing bid packages, leveling proposals, and identifying scope gaps. - Ability to review multi-discipline drawings (architectural, structural, MEP, civil) for coordination and constructability. - Strong written English and the ability to draft clear RFIs, scope narratives, and professional correspondence. - Working command of project budgets, procurement, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change management. - Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail. - Sound judgment on what to resolve independently and what to escalate. - Comfort communicating directly with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and field personnel. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining highly responsive and accountable. - Willingness to overlap with US Pacific business hours around a 9:00 AM PST start (hours can be flexible within reason). Requirements - 7 to 10 years of experience with demonstrated ownership of bid packages, scope development, coordination, budgeting, and active project controls. - Prior direct work with US-based general contractors, developers, or owners. - Exposure to a mix of ground-up construction, commercial renovations, tenant improvements, and building-envelope work. - Interest in improving templates, workflows, and procurement systems rather than only executing them. Tools & Software - Bluebeam Revu (primary platform for drawing review, markups, takeoffs). - Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud (project management, RFIs, submittals, drawings). - Microsoft Excel and Word (bid leveling, budgeting, scope narratives, meeting minutes). - PDF markup software and cloud-based file management via MS Teams and OneDrive. - Estimating and scheduling software (e.g., Sage Estimating, PlanSwift, MS Project, P6) is a plus. What Makes You a Great Fit - You look at drawings hunting for what is missing, not just what is drawn. - You have leveled bids that came back on different terms and know how to make them comparable before recommending an award. - You follow up on the third and fourth email until the subcontractor answers. - You know the difference between a design question and a scope question, and your RFIs get answered the first time. - You want a long-term role where your judgment compounds, not a task queue. INTERVIEW SCHEDULING Initial recruiter calls run in US Mountain Standard Time (Arizona, no daylight saving), within a 3:00 AM – 1:00 PM MST window. For applicants in the Philippines, that translates to 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM PHT (next day). Thank you for your flexibility in scheduling — we appreciate the effort it takes to meet across time zones.
