• Supports all clinical practice sites with billing and pre-arrival duties including processing billing charges and follow-up of billing and collections • Enters demographic and insurance/referral information into electronic medical record • Performs specialized duties with minimal supervision • Contacts necessary insurance companies and patients for benefit verification and pre-certification of therapy procedures • Maintains open communication with providers and referring physicians • Documents and notifies necessary parties of pre-certification when received • Compiles necessary documentation for pre-certification processes • Performs quality improvement activities to ensure appropriate clinical outcomes
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
- Bookkeeping/Accounting And/Or Medical Collection Setting (2 Years)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
