Job Description
Senior Product Manager, CRM
Donorbox
• Own the CRM vision and roadmap end-to-end: Translate the company's CRM strategy into a sequenced plan with clear, measurable outcomes. • Advise and execute on a data model evolution strategy: Get deep into how supporters, households, donations, soft credits, and communications are modeled today, and drive the evolution toward a more robust, scalable model. • Sharpen segmentation and Lists: Enable nonprofits with powerful filtering and the path toward data-informed segmentation that nonprofits need. • Grow CRM as an acquisition engine: Ship top-of-funnel features that pull new organizations into the platform. • Make communications demonstrably drive giving: Own the insights and metrics that help nonprofits use email and direct stewardship to uplift their fundraising. • Run great product practice: Talk to nonprofits constantly, separate the real problem from the stated request, define success before you ship, measure it after, and iterate to success.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in product management. Previous experience building a B2B SaaS product or platform area. You've owned outcomes end-to-end and made good decisions under ambiguity and resource constraints.
- You think in data models. You can sit with engineers and hold your own on schema, uniqueness constraints, migrations, and architectural tradeoffs. You're comfortable shipping on top of an evolving model and have lived through real data migrations. You understand that for this product, the data model is the product.
- You have experience with mass communication tools. That might be email marketing, transactional emails, in-app notifications, or SMS, but you are comfortable with how communication channels get built, utilized, and measured. You know what signals success for the sender and how to guide customers towards best practice.
- You've built data-heavy B2B SaaS. A CRM, marketing-automation, segmentation, analytics, or similar data-platform product where the hard problems were about modeling and moving data, not just surfacing screens and commenting in Figma.
- You speak data fluently. You don't need to be a data engineer, but you are comfortable with JOINs and with writing CTEs. You wake up excited to look at user data, and you back your decisions with your insights.
- You build for non-technical, resource-strapped users. Our users are often a one-person fundraising department or an overwhelmed development director. Empathy for mission-driven, under-resourced organizations is a requirement, not a nice-to-have.
- You discover, decide, and translate. You love talking directly with users, can separate signals from noise, and can turn fuzzy needs into specs engineers can build against. You’ve got analogies ready to clearly communicate technical realities to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
Benefits
- Fully remote work from the comfort of your home
- Generous time off policy of 21 days (birthday included 🎉), 8+ designated/floating holidays, 2 paid volunteer days, and additional sick days (dependent on state/country)
- Employer-sponsored health insurance plan through TriNet, including medical (United Healthcare), dental, vision, and life (for US employees) and similar offering for Canadian employees
- 401(k) retirement plan via TriNet's partner, Empower, with an employer match of up to 4% (for US employees) and Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSP), with an employer match of up to 4% (for Canadian employees)
- Reimbursement package for home office expenses and professional development, up to $1.5k
- Eligibility for employee equity plan (stock options)
- Wellness program with fitness and mindfulness classes
- Love your work and our mission of serving nonprofits!
