Field Service Engineer III – Chromatography, MS

• Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance and qualifications • Must be client-focused, working in conjunction with other service and sales teams • Must be proficient with the use of customer management software to track service calls, manage parts inventories, and complete job tasks • Review reports and documentation from customers and inspect malfunctioning product to pinpoint nature and scope of problem • Analyze review and inspection findings to understand source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action • Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other service support personnel to expedite repairs • Analyze chemistry reports of technical problems to recommend modifications to eliminate future problems • Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer • Develop and conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, or a related field preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer working with analytical instrumentation, including Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry systems, or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to establish good customer rapport are critical
- Ability to prioritize service requests and produce clear and concise documentation
- Ability to work independently within a customer location
- Must be available to travel overnight up to 75% within the territory or other areas as the need arises

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Field Agronomist serving the Northern Plains area. This position would be home office based within the service area. This role serves as the interface between the Commercial and R&D organizations. In addition, this individual is responsible for implementing district strategy with selected retail accounts within the Crop Protection Business. What You'll Do: - Local collector and interpreter of the technical needs of users, influencers, channel partners, and Corteva Crop Protection sales team regarding products. - Translate local needs into questions to be answered by projects and communicates inputs to Field Scientists for marketing for awareness. - Support district sales goals of existing products by providing technical and sales support. - Support the development of the sales organization through training, coaching, and best practice improvement for trainees, experienced hires, and experienced territory managers in Crop Protection. - Support local sales team with sales and product training for new and experienced sales representatives. - Work with Technology Transfer to transform the information generated by Field Scientists and R&D into applicable information for the commercial organization. - Facilitate the coordination and implementation of Tech Transfer training for new Territory Managers through serving on the Tech Education Network team. - Manage technical training for key distributors. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree with demonstrated capabilities is preferred.
