Director, Data Center Business Development

Hitachi

• Lead business development strategy for data center markets across North America, including hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and AI data centers • Identify, qualify, and develop large, complex opportunities spanning power, grid, cooling, digital, and infrastructure solutions • Drive strategic partnerships and alliances with customers, EPCs, developers, and technology ecosystem partners • Coordinate and lead cross‑Hitachi collaboration across multiple business units to deliver integrated solutions • Own senior‑level customer engagement, including executive briefings, workshops, and strategic alignment sessions • Support development of go‑to‑market strategy, value propositions, and solution positioning for data center customers • Manage opportunity pipeline, support deal structuring, and work closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams • Represent Hitachi at industry conferences, customer forums, and executive‑level events • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform product strategy and investment priorities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within data centers, power infrastructure, energy, or digital industries
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power systems, grid interconnection, cooling, digital platforms, and resiliency
  • Proven experience leading large, complex, multi‑stakeholder pursuits
  • Ability to work effectively across matrixed, global organizations
  • Strong executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

Role Description This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, San Juan Regional Office (RO), Military Sexual Trauma (MST) Operations Center, which is a remote Veterans Service Center. Due to high volume of applicants, the first 75 applicants will receive first consideration. Additional applicants, beyond the first 75, may be considered, upon management's request. Due to high volume of applicants, not all applicants will be considered. Responsibilities - Identifies expeditious processing of claims to minimize under/overpayments (e.g., changes in dependency, Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) write-outs). - Makes determinations as to eligibility for type of benefits sought and fully analyzes, develops, and requests pertinent evidence for rating related claims. - Decides the necessity for and type of exams, reexaminations, or opinions to determine the existence of or to evaluate disabilities resulting from disease or injury. - Develops comprehensive requests for these examinations/opinions to ensure appropriate evidence is received from which to adjudicate the claim. - Prepares correspondence to private attorneys; acknowledges and revokes designations of private attorneys. - Utilizes various electronic data processing systems for inputting data related to claims adjudication, processing, monitoring, and correspondence preparation. - Adjudicates award actions for compensation benefits to include release of retroactive, suspended, resumed, or terminated awards. - Authorizes, reviews, and approves the pending award action for technical accuracy, clarity, and thoroughness. - Prepares Statements of the Case for authorization appeals. - Prepares administrative decisions relating to Character of Discharge (COD), contested claims, line of duty, administrative error, etc. - Mentors and develops Veteran Service Representative (VSR) Trainees.
