JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to assist in the direction of the Entertainment Operational staff, ensuring that all venues operate at their optimum performance levels. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Works in conjunction with the senior level management of Entertainment in developing and implementing the strategic plan for the maintenance, enhancement, and improvement of all entertainment venues within the assigned areas, including facilities, technical elements/aspects and talent. - Responsible for ensuring the successful operation of all entertainment venues within the assigned parks. Responsible for effectively communicating necessary information that pertains to the entertainment operation to necessary parties. Partnering both in and outside of the department with management counterparts. - Provides guidance and support to Stage Managers, Assistant Stage Managers and Coordinators with operational and employee issues. Encourage and mentor development of team to help enhance and improve job performance. - Is required to periodically represent the Entertainment Department as Manager on Duty (499) for all entertainment venues in their assigned park. Responsibilities include but are not limited to problem solving all issues involving the venues as well as employees and communicating those issues to the appropriate Management Representation. - Oversee venue financial areas including labor and non-labor budgets, venue parameters, and show schedules/cycles/grids. - Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. - Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: - High school degree or GED required. - Bachelors Degree from a four year college or University or experience equivalent to a bachelors degree in theater or TV/Film Production preferred. EXPERIENCE: - 5+ Years: professional entertainment or theme park experience required. - 5+ Years: experience in a management or supervisory position preferred; - or equivalent combination of education and experience.
