Finance Director – Director of Finance
Aspire Software
• Take responsibility for the global finance and accounting function, establishing strategy, priorities and standards for all legal entities • Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, and manage relationships with external advisors, auditors and tax partners • Act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO and executive leadership • Lead monthly and quarterly close activities in NetSuite • Prepare and post journal entries, provisions and adjustments • Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations • Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules in accordance with ASC 606 • Support subscription (SaaS) billing processes • Oversee multi-entity accounting (US, UK, Germany, India), including intercompany transactions and multi-currency consolidation • Manage the full accounts payable cycle • Collaborate with Financial Planning on budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow modeling • Support the subscription renewal cycle and monitoring of SaaS metrics • Calculate and reconcile sales commissions in collaboration with Sales and HR • Prepare and deliver key performance indicator (KPI) reports to the portfolio group/shareholders • Manage accounts receivable and collections efforts
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA, CA or MBA is a plus
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including management experience, ideally with companies based in the United States
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required)
- Experience at a SaaS or subscription-based company
- Comfortable using artificial intelligence tools and a continuous improvement mindset
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with ASC 606 and SaaS revenue accounting (preferred)
- Knowledge of SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn rate, deferred revenue) (preferred)
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation (US, UK, EU, India) (preferred)
- Experience with accounts payable and financial modeling (preferred)
