Role Description The Automation Lead will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions using modern frameworks and programming languages. This role focuses on improving software quality, reliability, and delivery speed by building robust automation suites and integrating them into the development lifecycle. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium and related tools. - Create, enhance, and execute automated test scripts using Python, Java, and JavaScript. - Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test automation opportunities and integrate automated tests into existing workflows. - Use Git for version control to manage automation code, scripts, and related assets. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution. - Continuously improve automation coverage, efficiency, and reliability across applications and services. - Document automation frameworks, test cases, and execution processes to ensure clarity and maintainability. - Support the adoption of best practices in test automation, coding standards, and continuous integration. Qualifications - Hands-on experience with Selenium for test automation. - Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation development. - Proficiency in Java for building and maintaining automated test suites. - Experience with JavaScript for front-end test automation and scripting. - Practical experience using Git for source control and collaboration. - Ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks. - Strong understanding of software testing principles, including functional and regression testing. - Post-graduation qualification (advanced degree) in a relevant field. Work Environment This is a work-from-office role in a collaborative, technology-focused environment. You will work closely with development and QA teams, using tools such as Selenium, Python, Java, JavaScript, and Git on a daily basis. The setting supports focused, hands-on technical work, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement of automation practices and overall software quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellicott City, MD.
