Real Estate Tax Associate Attorney Full time Location: Dallas | Hybrid Compensation $235,000 – $390,000 A premier international law firm is seeking a Real Estate Tax Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising real estate investors, developers, private equity sponsors, REITs, and other sophisticated clients on complex real estate tax matters. Ideal Background • Attorneys in law school classes 2020–2024 are encouraged to apply • Experience handling real estate tax matters gained at a sophisticated law firm • Experience advising clients regarding the tax aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and development transactions • Experience representing real estate funds, REITs, private equity sponsors, developers, institutional investors, and other real estate market participants • Experience structuring and negotiating transactions to achieve tax-efficient outcomes • Experience advising clients on partnership taxation, pass-through entities, REIT taxation, and Section 1031 exchanges is preferred • Experience with the tax aspects of real estate fund formation, joint ventures, and private equity transactions is a plus • An LL.M. in Taxation is preferred, but not required • Strong analytical, research, drafting, and communication skills • Ability to manage sophisticated matters while working directly with clients and transaction teams • Excellent academic credentials • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required • Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted Why This Opportunity Sophisticated global tax and real estate platform Exposure to complex domestic and cross-border real estate transactions Significant client interaction and responsibility Opportunity to work with premier real estate investors, developers, and private equity sponsors Strong mentorship and professional development Collaborative AmLaw 50 environment Interested?
