THE ROLE: As an Automation Platform Engineer, you'll build the platforms, integrations and AI-powered automation that help Genius Sports work smarter every day. From cloud infrastructure and identity platforms to business systems and internal tooling, you'll create solutions that simplify complex processes and have an impact across the company. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on automation and systems integration. You'll play a key role in developing an AI-powered automation platform that transforms how support requests are received, classified and routed, while collaborating with teams across the whole business to deliver scalable, reliable solutions. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design, build and operate internal platforms, cloud-native applications and automation that improve operational efficiency across Genius Sports - Develop scalable APIs and integrations that connect identity platforms, business applications, collaboration tools and enterprise systems - Build and continuously improve AI-powered workflows that automate support processes, business operations and employee experiences - Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, while supporting CI/CD pipelines and platform reliability - Partner with Security, Identity, DevOps and Business Systems teams to deliver secure, scalable and well-governed solutions - Help shape engineering standards, contribute to technical documentation and review solutions delivered by external development partners to ensure quality and scalability WHAT YOU'LL BRING - Strong software engineering experience with Python, building production-quality applications and automation solutions - Experience designing, deploying and operating solutions in AWS - Experience building integrations using REST APIs, webhooks and authentication protocols such as OAuth2, SAML and SCIM - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, alongside modern CI/CD and software delivery practices - Good understanding of identity and access management, including SSO, provisioning, directory services and lifecycle automation - Experience monitoring and supporting production systems, using collaborative engineering practices such as source control and code reviews - Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders IT WILL BE A BONUS IF - You've built AI-powered applications, LLM integrations or intelligent workflow automation - You have experience with enterprise identity platforms, endpoint management technologies or event-driven architectures - You've worked with serverless or containerised applications, developer productivity platforms or external engineering partners The monthly salary for this full-time role ranges from €3,750 to €4,550 gross. • Own and evolve our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud, shaping how it's structured, secured and scaled so product teams can ship with confidence. • Extend our infrastructure-as-code coverage so changes are repeatable, reviewable and safe, and our environments are cleanly separated. • Build on our identity, access and secrets management, maturing our existing least-privilege access and secret rotation as the platform scales. • Keep our security posture strong and audit-ready, maintaining our ISO 27001 certification and leading both certification and client security audits. • Own our Kubernetes platform end to end, keeping clusters and workloads current, reliable and easy for teams to use. • Own and improve our build and deployment pipelines on self-hosted Buildkite, along with the local tooling, containerisation and paved-road workflows that make our engineers faster. • Run a steady cadence of upgrades and patching across the platform, along with DNS and certificate management, keeping everything current with minimal disruption. • Improve infrastructure observability and visibility, so we understand cost, health and performance across our environments.

• Define, design, and maintain the services platform, ensuring its scalability, resilience, and performance. • Develop and expose high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs for critical applications and asynchronous messaging (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, MKS). • Collaborate in the definition of distributed, event-driven, and decoupled architectures, applying Clean Architecture and DDD principles. • Participate in the development of automation and monitoring tools, including infrastructure as code, dashboards, and alerting. • Ensure best practices for security, versioning, and continuous deployment (CI/CD). • Optimize infrastructure utilizing AWS services such as API Gateway, ELB, ECS, and CloudWatch. • Collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams to deliver robust solutions in production.
