Sales Solutions Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with sales strategy to drive energy efficiency and sustainability for commercial clients. The Sales Solutions Engineer will partner with the Sales team to assess energy systems, quantify savings opportunities, and design customized solutions that include LED, HVAC/R, refrigeration, water, gas, and renewable energy technologies. Conduct site assessments, prepare financial analyses, and present recommendations that maximize customer ROI. Collaborate with Sales Account Executives to qualify opportunities, gather requirements, and develop energy-saving proposals. Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate lighting, HVAC/R, refrigeration, water, gas, and renewable energy solutions. Analyze utility data, quantify potential savings, and provide detailed ROI calculations for proposed solutions. Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Provide technical expertise to support pre-sales strategy, solution design, and customer engagement. Continuously refine estimation models and provide feedback to product and operations teams based on market trends and project outcomes. Travel to client locations as required (25–50%) to support sales and implementation activities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales support, energy consulting, or installation of LED, HVAC, or refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems, including solar technologies.
- Experience conducting commercial energy audits and analyzing energy consumption data.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills with the ability to think creatively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and work independently in a remote environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in a client-facing environment.
