Senior Finance Manager – DTC E-Commerce
Time To Hire
• You will be responsible for our monthly financial reporting, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow. • You will prepare budget and variance analyses and derive concrete recommendations for action. • You will analyze COGS, contribution margins and product margins and identify optimization opportunities. • You will develop subscription reporting, including MRR, churn, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and unit economics. • You will analyze the profitability of different customer segments and develop clear KPI dashboards for the founder. • You will be responsible for our working capital management. • You will develop and maintain reliable cash flow forecasts and liquidity planning. • You will optimize payment cycles between customers, suppliers and service providers. • You will manage our multi-currency bank accounts and payment structures. • You will develop strategies to ensure adequate liquidity reserves. • You will coordinate our external accounting providers and ensure all finance processes are executed efficiently and on time. • You will be responsible for the entire monthly close process. • You will continuously improve document and approval workflows. • You will coordinate intercompany transactions between our entities. • You will ensure the quality of our financial data through regular account reconciliations. • You will manage the collaboration with our external tax advisors. • You will coordinate our VAT compliance across multiple EU markets. • You will support the further development of our international holding and corporate structure together with external advisors.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Finance, Accounting or Strategic Finance.
- Fluent in English and German (C1/C2).
- Experience working with external tax advisors and a solid understanding of EU VAT, corporate tax and intercompany structures.
- Experience with multi-country VAT compliance within Europe.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and IFRS or EU-GAAP.
- Experience building and maintaining cash flow forecasts and working capital models.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Practical experience with accounting software as well as Stripe and Shopify backends.
- Ability to develop cohort analyses, unit economics and CAC, LTV and margin models and to derive well-founded decisions from them.
- Understanding of subscription metrics such as MRR, churn and Customer Lifetime Value.
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to work independently.
- Responsible and discreet handling of sensitive financial data.
- Experience with international holding structures or willingness to quickly get up to speed with our Cyprus holding structure.
