• Define and own the end-to-end automated test strategy across web portals and backend microservices, balancing UI, API, contract, integration, and end-to-end coverage (test pyramid). • Design test strategies for distributed, event-driven systems — including asynchronous flows through SNS/SQS, eventual consistency, idempotency, message ordering, retries, and dead-letter handling. • Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web (Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent) and API testing, using Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript. • Automate API and service-level testing (REST/JSON, and async messaging) to validate functionality, performance, and resilience. • Build maintainable, scalable framework abstractions (page objects, fixtures, data builders, reusable test harnesses) that other engineers adopt. • Drive performance, load, and resilience testing (e.g., JMeter, k6, Gatling, Locust) for highly scalable services, and partner with engineering on results and bottlenecks.

• Support the ongoing improvement of IBEX’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System. • Assist with documenting and standardizing business processes. • Help align QMS processes with ISO standards. • Support internal audit preparation and corrective action tracking.

Role Description The QA Software Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications before release. This role involves: - Designing, documenting, and executing manual and automated test cases. - Identifying, recording, and tracking bugs through defect tracking systems. - Performing regression, functional, integration, and performance testing. - Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. - Reviewing software requirements and technical specifications for clarity and testability. - Participating in sprint planning and contributing to quality assurance process improvements. - Verifying fixes and validating that resolved issues meet expected outcomes. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar quality assurance role. - Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA. - Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Requirements - Experience with API testing and automation frameworks (preferred). - Basic knowledge of SQL and version control (e.g., Git) (preferred). - ISTQB or similar certification is a plus (preferred). - Comfortable working U.S. hours.
