Job Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a people management or team lead role
- Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing engineering teams
- Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience building and scaling web and backend systems
- Experience with modern web technologies and architectures in a high-traffic eCommerce or direct-to-consumer environments
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP)
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time while managing competing priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across product, design, and data
- Experience establishing engineering best practices, including code review, testing, CI/CD, and observability
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and modern team workflows
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and career development
- Experience hiring and building diverse, inclusive engineering teams
