Mission Systems Operator

Top Aces

• The Mission Systems Operator (MSO) shall report to the Chief Pilot and be responsible for operation of the motion imagery system in either the Learjet or Alpha Jet aircraft. • Maintain qualification and currency on the Motion Imagery system installation in both the Learjet and Alpha Jet aircraft. • Assist with development and delivery of Sensor Operator training. • As required collaborate in the revision of and distribution of related guidance. • Assist Ops / DND in mission planning, resolving problems with equipment, etc. • Collaborate with Lead Pilots and evolve Top Aces SOPs to maintain alignment with Customer standards. • Fly on a consistent basis to ensure competency and mission reliability. • Promote company safety objectives and ensure that all Mission crew activities adhere to the Company COM, Transport Canada regulations, DND regulations, Top Aces Flight Safety & Occupational Health and Safety programs, Foreign Object Elimination, CGP and security regulations; • Support Top Aces safety programs and Quality Management System; • Other related duties may be assigned by Chief Pilot or PM CATS.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of operational experience in Air-to-Ground operations control (JTAC, TACP, FAC(A) or equivalent), or as military aircrew (Pilot, ACSO, AESOp or equivalent).
  • Must maintain required aircrew qualifications, including successful completion of the centrifuge course.
  • Must hold a Level II SECRET security clearance acceptable to Canada.
  • Must be a Canadian or US citizen.
  • Experience with Rover system and use of video data link for CAS/ISR is desirable.
  • Previous fast jet experience is considered an asset.
  • Previous Aeromedical Training (AMT) qualification, including centrifuge course, is an asset.
  • Previous EO/IR sensor operator experience is an asset.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Humble and approachable with strong communication skills.
  • Previous training or courseware development background is an asset.
  • Team player with demonstrated interest and capability to help others improve.
