Replay Operator

• Prepare for and operate in the replay role during live events, either as a replay-only position or as a packager. • Demonstrate the ability to follow game storylines and create content with minimal direction. • Maintain an advanced understanding of professional and collegiate sports, including year-round storylines, key players, games, strategies, and rules. • Ability to identify key moments, pitch them to producers and directors, and execute replays quickly on air. • Edit and compile highlight packages, teasers, and montages in real time to meet strict broadcast deadlines. • Select multiple camera angles to provide instant replays of key game moments. • Ensure all server channels and software are properly configured before broadcasts and troubleshoot technical issues on the fly. • Collaborate across the organization to plan and support the needs of the Event Operations team for specific productions.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of practical live TV production or related experience in a large broadcast market, digital/streaming platform, or comparable collegiate level.
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
- Advanced ability to perform under tight deadlines, work independently, and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
- Proven ability to provide superior customer service.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team and foster a positive culture.
- Must be adaptable to a constantly changing environment.
- In-depth technical mastery of industry-standard EVS broadcast systems (including XT-series servers, LSM Remote, and IPDirector).
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure mobile unit environments when unforeseen issues arise.
- Strong understanding of the events being broadcast to anticipate gameplay and emotional moments.
