Job Description

Content Strategist

Strava

Role Description We're looking for an experienced B2B Content Strategist Contractor to build and execute Strava for Business's content programme from the ground up. This is a project-based engagement with a clear commercial goal: helping brands and agencies understand why Strava is the best platform to reach and engage active people. The contract length is 6 months. This is a 6-month contract role. This role is based in the UK with eligibility to be remote. What You’ll Do: - Own the B2B content programme end-to-end — strategy, planning, and execution - Build a structured content plan covering the full buyer journey, from awareness to active consideration - Identify content gaps and develop original formats from Strava's unique data position: trend reports, audience insight pieces, seasonal stories, and industry narratives - Produce a high-impact content calendar across owned and distributed channels (organic social, email, events, PR) - Drive compelling case studies with brand-side leaders and clear ROI proof points - Align with the SfB marketing team so content feeds into campaigns, events, and outreach - Collaborate with external comms and PR partners on distribution Qualifications - Proven B2B content experience — ideally at a platform, media owner, or tech company working with brands and agencies - Deep understanding of how digital platforms work from the inside: the audience, the product, and the advertising story - Comfortable using data as a creative input — finding the narrative in a dataset and translating it into content - Strong editorial judgment and the ability to make decisions independently without heavy oversight - Experience managing external contributors — writers, designers, creators — without losing the original vision - An excellent writer and rigorous editor with a clear point of view on what makes B2B content worth reading Benefits - Join a passionate global team dedicated to making movement fun, meaningful, and accessible to everyone - Be part of a community that helps athletes stay motivated and achieve their goals - Work in a world-class, inclusive workplace where employees can grow and thrive Company Description Strava is the app for active people. With over 195 million athletes in more than 185 countries, it’s more than tracking workouts—it’s where people make progress together, from new habits to new personal bests. Our mission is simple: to motivate people to live their best active lives. We believe in the power of movement to connect and drive people forward. Strava builds software that makes the best part of our athletes’ days even better. We’re backed by Sequoia Capital, TCV, Madrone Partners and Jackson Square Ventures, and we’re expanding in order to exceed the needs of our growing community of global athletes. Our culture reflects our community. We are continuously striving to hire and engage teammates from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives because we know we are a stronger team together. Strava is an equal opportunity employer. In keeping with the values of Strava, we make all employment decisions including hiring, evaluation, termination, promotional and training opportunities, without regard to race, religion, color, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, physical handicap, mental disability, medical condition, disability, gender or identity or expression, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, marital status, height and/or weight. In this role, you will serve as a foundational voice and true thought partner, transforming clinical concepts into warm, accessible, and deeply trusted content. The objective of this role is to elevate our brand's content ecosystem by bringing clinical authority and authentic warmth to our audience. Qualifications - Must hold active certifications or degrees as a Registered Dietitian (RD), Certified Nutritionist, or an accredited Holistic Medicine Practitioner. - Specialized training from networks like the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy is highly prioritized. - Exceptional written and verbal communication style. - Warm, empathetic, and highly trustworthy presence. - Ability to track the industry, identify interesting trends, and serve as an active educator and creator. - Open to remote candidates located within North America (United States and Canada). Requirements - Highly autonomous individual contributor role. - No set daily working hours or real-time availability mandates. - Bi-weekly check-in schedules are floating and highly flexible. How to Apply & What to Expect - Step 1: Submit Your Portfolio & CV - Click the "Apply Now" button to submit your application via our ATS platform. Include your updated CV or professional resume and direct links to existing writing samples, blogs, or published health and wellness articles. - Step 2: Initial Screening & Video Intro - If your clinical background aligns with what we're looking for, our recruiting team will invite you to a brief initial screening call. - Step 3: The 45-Minute Strategic Deep Dive - Selected finalists will join our Head of Retention for a single, 45-minute conversational interview. - Step 4: Our Zero Unpaid Work Guarantee - We firmly oppose unpaid take-home assignments in the hiring process.
