Job Description

Field Operations Supervisor

New Flyer

• Responsible for the supervision of all field operations executed by the New Flyer in Georgia, North and South Carolina. • Executes on and oversees a field plan that exceeds the contract requirements for PDI, warranty and retrofit work. • Establish and manage a strong, successful customer relationship with TTC Transit at the depot level that ensures New Flyer successfully receives awards for future orders like awarded new e-bus order. • Travel to various customer sites required. • Understands and uses the New Flyer core values when working inside and outside the New Flyer organization. • Understands and follow Respectful Workplace rules. • Follow all applicable laws, arrive for assignments on time and follow all New Flyer travel policies. • Regularly travel to work site locations to oversee, understand and support field operations. • Be visible to field technicians and mechanics at their work sites. • Participate and support all meeting architecture applicable to New Flyer field operations in Toronto. • Oversee training plan for field technicians. • Organize and lead warranty repair, PDI and retrofit technician teams. • Communicate the status of field operations daily to the Regional Product Support Managers and Regional Director. • Acts as interim site manager during RPSM's absence as assigned. • Report all issues affecting New Flyer product or business to the Regional Product Support Managers. • Review iBus website regularly. • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School, 2 years College, Trade School or equivalent
  • 5 years work experience or equivalent
  • Some leadership experience
  • Inventory management experience
  • Transit bus electrical, mechanical, air system, hydraulic systems, HVAC systems, CAN/J1939, certifications/licenses preferred: 608 certification, ASE, CDL license.
  • Proficient with MS Office

Reviews all existing documentation including but not limited to UB, IB, Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and Managed Care Contracts to verify claim balance calculation; ensures integrity in supporting documentation. Verifies in system that accounts have been adjudicated correctly once settled. If needed, adjust accounts per Legal request. Identify billing or coding issues and request re-bills, secondary billing, or corrected bills as needed. Take appropriate action to bring about account resolution timely and open a dispute record to have the account further researched and substantiated for continued collection, including completion of technical appeals. Maintains desk inventory to remain current without backlog while achieving productivity and quality standards.
