Virtual Construction Assistants
• Support the commercial estimating process by preparing accurate quantity takeoffs. • Perform back-end pricing by sourcing materials and equipment for bids. • Obtain current pricing and product availability from suppliers. • Review project plans to identify required materials and quantities. • Assist in developing and maintaining a material and cost database. • Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure bids are accurate and complete. • Maintain organized estimating records and support improvement of estimating processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Construction, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or landscaping estimating, quantity takeoffs, or a similar estimating role.
- Proficiency in quantity takeoff software; experience with Togal is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction or landscaping plans, materials, estimating principles, and pricing processes.
- Experience sourcing material pricing and communicating with suppliers and vendors.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple estimates and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with the estimating team.
