• You partner with product managers, internal stakeholders, and other development and support teams to design new integrations, services, and solutions for scaling Beacon's data platform • You implement features with attention to detail, demonstrating product awareness and high standards for data integrity, design soundness, and maintainability across the lifespan of the system • You draft RFCs to lead complex feature discovery and technical design phases, soliciting and incorporating input, and helping your team align on a set of decisions to guide development • You leverage feedback from internal stakeholders and external partners to improve operational robustness and ease of use of the Datastore and its services via new documentation, tools, and dashboards

• Design, build, and operate the Indexer’s components in Rust — the chain indexer, the wallet indexer, the SPO indexer (Cardano partner-chain data), and the GraphQL API — keeping the architecture modular and maintainable. • Build and maintain the data pipeline that fetches blocks and transactions from the Midnight node via subxt, handling finalized-block tracking, gap backfilling, and continuous real-time indexing. • Design efficient schemas and queries across PostgreSQL (cloud) and SQLite (standalone), and keep latency and throughput healthy as the chain grows. • Evolve the GraphQL API — queries, mutations, and real-time subscriptions over WebSockets — with care for the wallet model: secure sessions and correct handling of shielded data. • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; treat reliability and correctness as first-class concerns. • Own operational quality for the service: observability, containerised deployment (Docker), and incident response. • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions, and collaborate closely with the node, ledger, wallet, and security teams — contributing to those components as you ramp up. • Keep current with developments in Rust and blockchain technology, and apply them to improve the platform.

Understand what truly drives their work (e.g. Cost savings, efficiency, performance).

• Deliver core capabilities across the CLI, Go SDK, TypeScript SDK, and frontend services that enable developers to build more effectively on the CRE platform. • Improve vertical and horizontal scalability across critical platform services. • Increase workflow execution durability and platform reliability for developer-facing systems. • Reduce knowledge silos by expanding ownership across critical components of the CRE platform. • Elevate the developer experience through high-quality platform APIs, tooling, and SDK improvements. • Strengthen operational resilience by increasing shared ownership of production systems and on-call responsibilities.
