Role Description The Lead Instructor for the Mission-Critical Data Center Electrical Craft Upskilling program is a field-based leadership role responsible for the quality, consistency, and operational execution of StrataSKILLS instructor-led training programs delivered at client project sites. This role manages and develops a team of Electrical Craft Instructors, serves as the primary operational contact for client program managers, and steps in as lead instructor when program delivery or quality requires it. This engagement covers three 3–4 week ILT courses delivered in cohorts of 8–12 journeyman-level electricians: - Low Voltage Systems Terminations and Testing (26 hours) - Low Voltage Systems Motor and Equipment Wiring (30 hours) - Medium Voltage Termination, Maintenance, and Inspection (28 hours) All delivery is aligned to NFPA 70 (NEC 2023), NFPA 70E (2024), OSHA 1910.269, and IEEE 1584. This is primarily a leadership and quality role. The Lead Instructor manages the program, alongside delivery. Qualifications - Minimum 8 years of hands-on field experience in commercial or industrial electrical work, with direct experience in LV systems (up to 1kV) and MV systems (1kV–34kV) - Demonstrated working knowledge of cable termination, termination hardware, heat shrink and cold shrink systems, crimping, and control cabinet work - Proficiency with switchgear, motor control systems, VFDs, and load center wiring at a journeyman level or above - Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910.269, IEEE 1584, and NETA testing standards - Minimum 3 years in a supervisory, lead craft, or training role in an industrial or construction environment - Ability to lead and develop adult learners, including journeyman-level tradespeople with deep field experience - Experience managing multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-moving, client-facing jobsite environment - Ability to pass client site access, background, and safety requirements Requirements - Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred) - NCCER certification in Electrical or related trade (preferred) - NFPA 70E Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) certification or equivalent (preferred) - Experience working on large-scale EPC or industrial construction projects (Mission-Critical Data Center Client, Fluor, AECOM, or similar) (preferred) - Familiarity with the client's quality standards, documentation practices, and site safety protocols (preferred) - Prior Train-the-Trainer certification or instructional design experience (preferred) - Experience with megger testing, HiPot testing, and other acceptance testing procedures for MV equipment (preferred) Benefits - Base Location: Houston, TX preferred; remote considered for strong candidates - Travel: May be deployed to active client project sites nationally for the duration of each cohort cycle.
