Mechanical Commissioning Engineer: - Perform and manage commissioning procedures for mechanical systems, including moderately complex systems and data centers and other mission critical facilities. - Manage and lead commissioning projects. - Be self-motivated and proactive on projects with limited supervision. - Position is very mentally demanding and requires candidate to be self-aware. Qualifications - Graduate Bachelor Engineer (BSEE or BSME) -OR- Graduate of applicable Commissioning Technical Training and two years minimum same or similar work experience. - At least (5) commissioning projects including Design, Construction, and Acceptance phase processes -OR- High school education or equivalent and five years minimum same or similar work experience. - At least (8) commissioning projects including Design, Construction, and Acceptance phase processes. Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning industry standards and a Commissioning certification is preferred. - Knowledge of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) process for New Construction and Existing Buildings and LEED Accredited Professional is preferred. - Knowledge and thorough understanding of building mechanical systems, chilled water systems, air distribution systems, AC Systems, building controls system, Glycol based systems, and boilers. - Background and experience in operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment. - Plan, schedule, and perform work for mid to large size projects and program. - Complete projects consistently on time and under budget. - Cultivate effective relationships with existing and potential key clients, customers and contractors. - Requires a high degree of communication, supervisory, and organization skills. - Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, with clients and peers. - Good judgment, dependable, performs on projects with technical expertise. - Strong computer skills including editing, formatting in Microsoft Word and Excel, use of Internet for standards/products/manufacturer research, and operation of computer-controlled test equipment. - Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work. - Must be available for out-of-town travel of up to several weeks at a time. This role focuses on designing, provisioning, and automating cloud-based data workspaces that accelerate user onboarding, improve data accessibility, and strengthen platform reliability. The ideal candidate will work hands-on with modern cloud tools, Databricks, VHA Data Lake integrations, and automated workspace creation. This position is fully remote, located in the United States. - Create cloud workspaces equipped with the most commonly used tools to ensure rapid assignment and reduced onboarding friction. - Automate provisioning processes for user intake, workspace creation, and core Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) access. - Map new users to the appropriate workspace personas and configurations through an improved intake workflow. - Build and configure workspaces in PreProd (with live data) or Prod environments, including setup of Service Principals, workgroup personas, access controls, and security configurations. - Create and manage linked services, mount points, and integrations between Databricks and the VHA Data Lake. - Develop and maintain Databricks catalogs to support streamlined data discovery and governed access. - Collaborate with data platform engineers, security teams, and analytics stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient workspace operations. - Troubleshoot issues related to cloud provisioning, access, and workspace functionality, delivering timely and high-quality support. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including automation enhancement, intake optimization, and workspace standardization. - Document processes, SOPs, access models, and configurations to support operational transparency and repeatability. - Provide white-glove support to new and existing users, ensuring strong adoption and high user satisfaction. • The FEA Process Engineer will support the business by managing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) activity, strengthening analysis processes, and providing technical engineering support across product development, design validation, testing, and manufacturing requirements. • Conduct and support FEA activities using Abaqus and other relevant CAE tools to assess structural performance, fatigue, durability, and product behaviour. • Develop, maintain, and improve FEA procedures, templates, workflow standards, reporting tools, and analysis documentation. • Support non-linear analysis, fatigue analysis, structural analysis, and other advanced simulation requirements across engineering projects. • Review CAD and FEA model outputs, including geometry preparation, mesh quality, material properties, boundary conditions, load cases, and result accuracy. • Interpret simulation results and provide clear engineering recommendations to support design decisions, issue resolution, and product improvement. • Coordinate FEA task planning, scheduling, prioritisation, and progress tracking to ensure analysis work is completed in line with project timelines. • Maintain reporting systems, trackers, and technical records covering FEA status, model reviews, analysis outcomes, and correlation activity. • Support model correlation and validation by comparing simulation results with physical test results, historical data, or engineering expectations. • Identify opportunities to improve modelling efficiency, analysis accuracy, reporting quality, and overall FEA process capability. • Prepare technical reports, analysis summaries, result presentations, and engineering documentation for internal review and decision-making. • Work with design, product, manufacturing, testing, and engineering teams to clarify analysis requirements and support practical design outcomes. • Provide FEA input into engineering change processes, product improvement activity, and technical issue investigations. • Maintain organised FEA files, model assumptions, simulation outputs, results, reports, and supporting technical documentation. • Stay updated with FEA, CAE, Abaqus, mechanical analysis, product engineering, and advanced manufacturing best practices. • Other position-level duties as they arise.
