Role Description - Provide instruction to students according to the objectives of each course assigned. - Utilize a variety of instructional strategies in the classroom, online, hybrid, or lab setting that are appropriate to individual student needs, including: - Lectures - Small groups - Demonstrations - Computer-assisted instruction - Prepare and administer evaluation instruments and maintain accurate student records on attendance, achievement, and progress. - Assist in gathering and interpreting data for department assessment. - Support and promote an environment of belonging where all students, faculty members, and college employees feel welcomed, valued, and empowered to contribute. - Foster a community where each individual and their varied perspectives enrich the educational experience and create a safe and respectful environment. - Support the College’s policies and programming related to access, fair employment, and equal opportunities for all. Qualifications - Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Psychology or related field, such as Counseling (Theory), Behavioral Studies, Psychiatry, OR - Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field PLUS a minimum of 6 graduate credits in Psychology, AND an approved plan to complete a Master’s degree within 2 years that includes 18 graduate credits in the subject area. - Teaching experience equivalent to 18 semester hours or 6 courses/sections at secondary or post-secondary level that applies directly to area(s) of instructional responsibility.
