Role Description Fabletics is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Creative Systems team — the engineers behind how we produce, manage, and publish the creative that powers our brand across web, mobile app, retail, email, and paid media. The team owns three connected platform areas: our Digital Asset Management (DAM) and creative production tooling; our marketing and creative automation platforms (campaign setup, personalization, dynamic creative delivery); and our CMS / content platform. These systems sit at the intersection of Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, and Ecommerce, and they directly influence speed-to-market, content quality, and conversion. This is first and foremost a people leadership role — career development, performance, and day-to-day support of your engineers and QA partners — combined with ownership of the squad’s delivery rhythm (standups, ceremonies, planning, stakeholder alignment, and on-time, high-quality delivery). You’re also a hands-on manager: management comes first, but you stay close to the work — code reviews, pairing on tough problems, prototyping integrations, and stepping in when a flaky pipeline, tricky content modeling decision, or launch-day fire shows up. Your first six months focus on relationships, learning the systems landscape, and owning delivery on the in-flight roadmap. From there, you’ll partner with Product and Creative leadership on the multi-year platform direction — unifying creative and commerce systems and embedding AI into how content is produced, managed, and personalized across DAM, CMS, and creative automation. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you’ll sit on the Fabletics Technology leadership team. Creative Systems supports time-sensitive launches, so this role requires a manager who’s accessible for the occasional launch-window escalation outside standard business hours — not nightly, but real. We take AI seriously, and this role is a big part of why: if you’re excited about how AI is reshaping creative production and the engineering behind it, this is the role for you. Qualifications - 3–7 years of software engineering experience and 3+ years as an EM or team lead; Bachelor’s in CS, Engineering, or equivalent. - Proven people developer who has grown engineers, navigated performance conversations, and built strong team cultures. - Experience leading platform, integration, or content/CMS teams; integration experience with DAM, CMS, marketing automation, or creative production tools is a plus. - Strong technical foundation across C#/.NET, Node.js, and Python back-end services, React, and REST API design. - AI-forward mindset — daily user of AI-assisted development tools and hands-on with generative AI. - Excellent communicator, clear under pressure and credible with senior creative, marketing, and technology stakeholders. - Familiarity with video processing pipelines or Java-based content platforms is a plus. Requirements - Own growth, performance, hiring, and engagement for the squad. - Run 1:1s, coach, navigate performance conversations directly and early, and create stretch opportunities that develop engineers. - Own delivery, sprint health, technical direction, and the operating cadence (standups, planning, retros, roadmap reviews). - Partner with Product, Creative, Brand, and Marketing leadership to maintain a balanced roadmap. - Own release management and change communication across systems with many upstream and downstream dependencies. - Stay close to the code: participate in design discussions, PR reviews, and debugging. - Be the unblocker when integrations break, builds fail, or a launch is in jeopardy. - Partner with DevOps and QA Automation on CI/CD, test coverage, and observability. - Set the standard for what AI-forward engineering looks like on this team. - Hold the team accountable for clean, well-documented integrations. - Guide architectural decisions across a stack that includes Java-based content and media platforms. Benefits - Hybrid Work Schedule* - Discretionary Paid Time Off* - Summer Fridays* - Healthcare Plans - Employee Discounts - 401k - Annual Bonus Program - Equity Program* - And More Company Description Fabletics, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We recruit, employ, compensate, develop, and promote regardless of race, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and other protected status as required by applicable law.
