• Inspect manufactured and modular homes and buildings in Western North Carolina to ensure compliance with federal and state codes • Conduct plan reviews, in‑plant and field inspections, dealer lot inspections, and investigation of consumer complaints • Perform engineering review of structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general construction plans • Provide code interpretations and support local inspection departments • Participate in HUD joint monitoring and serve on the State Emergency Response Team during emergencies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience
- Possess a Standard Level II Certification
- Meet the qualifications for a Probationary Level III Certification in at least four of the certifications (Electrical, Building, Plumbing, Mechanical or Fire)
- Registered as a professional engineer by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors

Role Description North Point Technology is seeking an experienced MES Controls Engineer to support manufacturing operations in a high-volume discrete manufacturing environment. This role focuses on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), PLC integration, real-time production execution, and automation system reliability.
