• The Commissioning Engineer shall be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of various projects under execution as per GEV Quality, Construction & Commissioning & EHS Processes. • You will report to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader. • The position requires 100% construction site presence during the execution phase. • Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, …) • Prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs, Checklists etc. • Electrical and functional testing (hands on testing as standalone tester) of Primary and Secondary devices on the switchyards • Publish test reports and follow up completion of relevant quality documentation. • Complying with the contract requirements and the project Quality Plan • Follow up, be the point of contact and assist in testing and commissioning done by 3rd parties under relevant scope. • Monitoring, recording and reporting of the given work progress • Ensure all C&P testing and commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations. • Maintain effective communication with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders during site execution.
Job Requirements
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
- Knowledge in elements of electrical substations: CT/VTs, CBs, Protection Relays, Control Systems, Transformers etc.
- Significant knowledge and of experience in Commissioning of substations, Power Plants or HVDC Systems.
- Fluent in English, German language or additional language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to work on construction sites in Germany and abroad, and optional assignments on offshore platforms.
- German driver's license class B
