Job Description
Senior Product Engineer
TechnologyAdvice
• Apply AI-assisted development practices to rapidly prototype, validate, and ship production-ready solutions. • Identify opportunities across the business where software, automation, data, or AI can create meaningful operational, product, or revenue impact. • Own solutions end-to-end—from discovery and scoping through architecture, implementation, deployment, measurement, and ongoing iteration. • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand problems, define solutions, communicate trade-offs, and measure outcomes. • Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications, backend services, automations, and internal tools that drive business value. • Contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategy, and long-term platform evolution. • Work directly with cloud infrastructure and edge platforms, including AWS and Cloudflare. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence. • Conduct thoughtful code reviews, uphold high engineering standards, and mentor other engineers. • Continuously evaluate new technologies, AI capabilities, and development practices that can increase team effectiveness and engineering leverage.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to move from ambiguous business problems to deployed solutions, collaborating directly with stakeholders throughout discovery, delivery, and measurement.
- Proven track record of independently delivering complex software systems and business outcomes with minimal oversight.
- Strong judgment in evaluating build-vs-buy decisions and identifying opportunities to leverage existing platforms, automation, and AI before building custom solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted development tools in production environments while maintaining high standards for quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment to validate, refine, and extend AI-generated solutions.
- Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
- Comfortable working within modern application frameworks (e.g., Laravel or similar).
- Experience designing and implementing experimentation and A/B testing frameworks (e.g., PostHog or similar tools).
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare, or similar platforms).
- Solid experience with relational databases, including writing and optimizing queries both within and outside of ORMs.
- Proficiency with Git-based development workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders in a globally distributed organization.
- Self-driven, highly autonomous, and comfortable operating in a remote-first environment while managing priorities and consistently delivering results.
