Job Description

Licensing Specialist

Included Health

• Ongoing process and documentation maintenance activities to ensure adherence to guidelines and successful credentialing and accreditation; • Initiate and facilitate licensing activities for new and existing clinicians of all types, including but not limited to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, psychologists and professional counselors; • Perform “white glove” licensing on behalf of clinicians; • Ensure successful completion of licensing plans assigned to clinicians and appropriately escalate issues that jeopardize this success; • Support accurate maintenance of clinician information necessary to meet regulatory and partner obligations; • Support the selection, implementation and maintenance of tools and resources for license management, including CME/CEUs and license renewal; • Provide logistical support for clinical team members, partnering closely with clinical care managers; • Find innovative ways to solve problems and iterate on existing processes; • Communicate risks, obstacles and milestones to leadership; • Post-project assessments to continually measure impact of process improvement efforts; • Support special projects including clinician workflows, licensing strategy, and other regulatory-related topics.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience directly licensing clinicians, preferably both behavioral health and medical license types (eg. LCSW, PsychD, LPC, MD/DO, NP, etc)
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communication, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information is required
  • Meticulous about details and learns from every mistake so that they don’t happen twice
  • Strong results orientation
  • Independent problem solving & decision making skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time
  • Candidates must be service oriented, self-confident, and dependable
  • Must work with a high sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
  • Must be effective and efficient working in a team environment
