Senior AWS Integration Engineer, Python, C#, Serverless, API Gateway

Enroute

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable serverless integration solutions using AWS services. • Build and support cloud-native integrations between enterprise SaaS platforms, third-party vendors, and internal business systems. • Develop and secure REST APIs using AWS API Gateway and industry-standard authentication protocols. • Implement solutions using AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3, and AWS CDK. • Ensure solutions follow AWS security best practices, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML. • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions. • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following SDLC best practices and Kanban workflows. • Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Architects, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality integration solutions. • Mentor junior developers by providing technical guidance, code reviews, and development best practices. • Participate in architecture discussions and recommend improvements to system design, performance, security, and scalability. • Continuously evaluate and adopt modern AWS services, development tools, and AI-assisted technologies to improve engineering productivity. • Communicate project progress, technical risks, and key milestones to internal teams and leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience developing cloud integrations with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Strong experience designing and building serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, and AWS CDK.
  • Advanced programming experience in Python, C#, or Java.
  • Experience developing and securing REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, and authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
  • Experience working with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Experience working with JSON and XML.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience working in Kanban environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior developers.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry.
  • Experience with CloudFormation or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Experience with alternative CI/CD platforms such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or other AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-delivery environments.
