Job Description

Group Product Manager

SmarterDx

• Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for the SmarterDenials teams - Appeal Writer, Management, and expansions — prioritizing initiatives that drive measurable clinical and commercial outcomes. • Hire, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers, raising the bar on craft, customer empathy, and execution across the group. • Deeply understand the SmarterDx user and buyer market, including payer behavior, denial patterns, and RCM workflows. • Engage customers to gather feedback, identify friction points, and surface opportunities for high-impact product improvements. • Define, track, and report on key success metrics to measure product performance, adoption, and business impact. • Support PMs leading a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and designers through the full product development lifecycle.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 1–2+ years in a management role
  • A track record of scaling an established product while also contributing to new product development or 0-to-1 initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthtech, ideally in RCM, denials management, coding, or B2B clinical workflows.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across engineering, data science, and UX — you know how to lead without authority.
  • Experience managing both external customers and internal stakeholders (Customer Success, Implementations, Sales).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; you can distill complexity into crisp narratives for both technical and executive audiences.

• Execute a clear 6–12 month stream roadmap that directly supports the broader Turnkey platform goals. • Align the team's daily delivery schedule to focus on a minimized number of the most critical, high-impact projects. • Track core product performance metrics, leveraging a structured metric tree to measure the real business impact of every shipped feature. • Start with the core client problem rather than the requested solution, uncovering actual business needs behind heavy intake pipelines. • Set and quickly test product hypotheses through analytics, user insights, and competitor research before starting large development tasks. • Analyze client brand performance alongside Account Management to discover revenue uplifts and opportunities for platform optimization. • Ship high-quality platform features, widgets, and layout configuration systems under tight compliance and time constraints. • Collaborate closely with engineers daily to refine technical solutions, unblock sprints, and maintain high delivery velocity. • Anticipate technical risks and proactively manage side effects or dependencies across related platform modules. • Manage complex intake pipelines from established B2C brands without letting conflicting client demands derail engineering focus. • Resolve cross-team execution dependencies independently, aligning with adjacent technical and business functions before potential roadblocks appear. • Communicate regular updates, work results, and research findings transparently to the rest of the product organization.

• Own the Originations product area end-to-end: Serve as the single-threaded product owner for originator integrations, originator allocation, bank partner onboarding, and the Funding ETL, the primary database powering all Capital activities. You hold the full picture of how loans are originated at Affirm and you drive it forward. • Build deep expertise in the originator ecosystem: Become the definitive internal expert on Affirm's originating bank partners and internal originating entities, understanding their capabilities, regulatory constraints, volume dynamics, and integration requirements. Use that expertise to drive strategy for expanding and diversifying the originator network. • Own originator allocation and ensure coverage: Own the allocation logic that determines which originator is selected for every loan at checkout, balancing volume targets, regulatory restrictions, and originator preferences. Coverage gaps here mean loans that can't be originated, so reliability and completeness are the bar. • Define and drive origination health metrics: Set clear success metrics for the origination product, own product-originator coverage tracking, and ensure data quality in the Funding ETL that downstream Capital teams depend on. You are accountable for the numbers that tell Affirm whether origination is working. • Set strategy and execute the roadmap: Translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and engineering constraints into a clear, prioritized origination roadmap. Write crisp PRDs, define testable milestones, and partner closely with the LOR engineering team to ship. • Lead cross-functional execution across a complex stakeholder map: Partner with Bank Partnerships, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Capital Markets to navigate regulatory changes, onboard new partners, and keep origination systems tightly integrated with downstream funding, settlement, and reporting pipelines. This role touches nearly every part of Affirm's financial infrastructure.
