Role Description The Senior Software Developer is responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications, and applying frameworks involved in a software release. The Senior Software Developer will support the deployment of new technical solutions, products, and/or standards in support of the functions, strategy, and operations under limited supervision and will provide guidance to more junior members of the team. - Develop applications using Java, Struts, JavaScript, Velocity, Android Studio, Flutter, and Oracle SQL - Develop using technologies such as HTML5, CSS, jQuery, MVC, AJAX, and XML - Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality - Design and develop user interfaces - Support development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms - Support users by developing documentation and assistance tools - Perform QA for pre-deployment activities - Utilize Agile development methodologies - Responsible for computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing - Involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle, resulting in a software product - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or equivalent discipline and 6+ years of relevant work experience OR 8+ years of experience without a relevant degree - 5+ years of experience with Java and JavaScript - 3+ years of experience with SQL - Experience with Web application development and object-oriented programming - Experience with Struts 1, Velocity, Oracle 12, and Bootstrap - Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems - Secret Clearance Requirements - Strong working experience in all phases of the SDLC, and EW data analysis/library products to support automated tool development is strongly preferred - Must be well organized, an effective communicator at multiple levels, and able to grasp system concepts and communicate their applications - Must be capable of quickly learning new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks - Must be capable of managing multiple projects with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment - Must be able to speak effectively before groups of internal and/or external customers or employees - Ability to use version control and collaborative tools - Ability to travel Benefits - Opportunities to help sharpen skills in addition to hands-on experience in the global, fast-changing business world - From on-the-job learning experiences to formal development programs, professionals have a variety of opportunities to continue to grow throughout their careers - Positive and supportive culture encourages team members to do their best work every day - Well-being programs and flexibility to make daily choices that promote health and confidence - Focus on education, giving, skill-based volunteerism, and leadership to drive positive social impact in communities
