Role Description Bestica is hiring for a Web Developer to provide their services at Wright Patterson Air Force Base located in Dayton, OH Remotely. The purpose of this effort is to acquire web developers in support of the Technical Operations Division of USAFSAM Occupational and Environmental Health Department (OE). Developers will design, build, and test enhancement and sustainment capability for all OE modules within the Human Performance Wing Support System (HPWS). HPWS is a locally hosted web application built using Adobe ColdFusion 2023 Enterprise, Oracle 19c, and Microsoft SQL Server 2019. HPWS provides mission critical support to the 711th Human Performance Wing and serves over 2.5 million views yearly to Air Force personnel and other US government service branches and agencies worldwide. Qualifications - B.S. in Computer Science and/or CIS and 4 years Web development experience working with Adobe ColdFusion web applications and Oracle relational database development. - Any bachelor’s degree and 6 years Web development experience working with Adobe ColdFusion web applications and Oracle relational database development. - Any post-secondary education and 8 years of Web development experience working with Adobe ColdFusion web applications and Oracle relational database development. - Work experience creating and updating Web applications using Adobe ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. - Familiarity with D3 data visualization JavaScript library is preferable. - Work experience creating, reading, and understanding Oracle and procedural language (PL/SQL). - Work experience designing, building, and understanding relational database models. - Work experience designing, building, and modifying relational database objects, including tables, views, sequences, triggers, procedures, and functions. - Work experience creating, reading, and understanding complex SQL queries. - Experience working with JavaScript and jQuery within Web applications, especially using jQuery AJAX transactions. - Work experience performing system analysis and reverse engineering of existing systems. - Work experience working throughout the entire software development lifecycle; from collecting and documenting requirements, to designing, building, testing, and deploying a complete web application. - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English with project stakeholders. Requirements - Write web application code using Adobe ColdFusion, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. - Complete a two to four-week orientation period to introduce and acclimate to the HPWS application framework. - Interact with USAFSAM/OE and the HPWS Program Office to obtain technical requirements for HPWS Web Development projects. - Participate in the creation of technical documentation for new projects within HPWS. - Produce new capabilities within OE HPWS modules based on functional requirement specifications. - Complete Web development projects in OE HPWS modules that comply with HPWS Program Office coding standards. - Support 508 Accessibility standards in the design, production, and maintenance of all user interfaces. - Implement secure Web development and coding practices aligned with the Risk Management Framework certification. - Produce training content for HPWS web application screens and processes. - Participate in regularly scheduled and ad hoc project meetings. - Communicate project status weekly to project stakeholders. - Document and initiate Change Requests with the HPWS Program Office. - Initiate code review requests and document deployment specifications. - Complete development projects working independently or with other team members. - Complete government-furnished training on operational security, information assurance, HIPAA, and Privacy Act. - Be available for work during core working hours of 0900-1500 EST, M-F. - Use Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook for daily communication. - Perform all work on government-furnished equipment (GFE). - Supply own Internet bandwidth for VPN connection to the AF information network. - Not connect personally owned equipment to government-furnished equipment. - Not print government information on privately owned printers. - Not store government information on privately owned storage media.
