Environmental Principal Engineer

• Assist in the establishment, management, and growth of a new branch office with division and regional support • Help recruit, build, and manage a team of technical staff to support office operations and project execution • Assist with the development and implementation of strategies for recruiting new clients, leveraging existing relationships and expanding business opportunities supporting the development of small to large design projects from inception to completion • Lead project management efforts for Site Assessments & Remediation, Emergency Response, Natural Resources, EHS & compliance, Permitting, Planning & Management or Reporting Assurance Services. • Supporting the work of others and mentoring junior-level engineers & design/drafting technical staff. • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving • Participate in internal and external technical organizations
Job Requirements
- 4-year degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related science
- Professional certification strongly desired (e.g. PG, LSRP, PE, etc.)
- 15+ years of progressive and successful experience performing and managing diverse environmental investigation, remediation, permitting, or compliance projects. Ideal candidate will have a book of business surrounding these.
- Proven experience in managing both technical staff and project managers while developing client relationships
- Proficiency in applicable regulations and guidance (e.g. PADEP, NJDEP, NYSEC, EPA etc.) in their domain.
- A desire to play a key role in growing our Pittsburgh metro office and contributing to the firm’s long-term success
