SAP PP Functional Consultant

Weekday (YC W21)

Role Description We are seeking an experienced SAP PP Functional Consultant to design, configure, implement, and maintain our SAP Production Planning module. In this role, you will act as the crucial link between business manufacturing operations and the IT engineering team. You will be responsible for: - Requirement-gathering workshops - Mapping complex shop floor business processes to SAP standard practices - Configuring solutions that optimize our production lifecycle The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing domain experience and a deep understanding of how SAP PP integrates with logistics, finance, and quality management modules. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or business-related field - Minimum 5-7 years of dedicated hands-on SAP PP functional consulting experience - Participation in at least one Full Life Cycle (FLC) end-to-end implementation or migration project (S/4HANA experience preferred) - Prior background working directly in a manufacturing or logistics industry domain is highly desirable - Official SAP Certification in Production Planning is a strong plus Requirements - PROCESS BLUEPRINTING: Facilitate workshops with plant managers and supply chain teams to gather requirements, analyze "As-Is" processes, and map them to efficient "To-Be" SAP architectures - SYSTEM CONFIGURATION: Perform hands-on configuration of the SAP PP module to meet business requirements, specifically focusing on Master Data, MRP, and Shop Floor Execution - FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS: Author detailed functional specification documents (FSDs) for custom enhancements, custom reports, and third-party interfaces, collaborating closely with ABAP technical developers - CROSS-MODULE INTEGRATION: Collaborate with consultants across MM, SD, QM, and FICO modules to ensure smooth, end-to-end data flow and cross-functional logic alignment - TESTING & QUALITY ASSURANCE: Design test scripts and execute Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate custom builds and standard processes - TRAINING & HYPERCARE SUPPORT: Develop end-user training manuals, conduct training sessions, and provide post-go-live hypercare and troubleshooting support Benefits - Competitive salary - Health and wellness benefits - Opportunities for professional development - Flexible working hours
