Job Description
Environmental Field Technician
SC&A, Inc.
• Review technical/program documents and applications • Perform environmental calculations based on provided methodologies • Properly collect, label, and ship samples from job sites to laboratories for further testing and analysis • Maintain and operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines • Document field observations and submit timely reports on field status • Effectively communicate with field supervisors, project managers, and community stakeholders • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations • Exhibit flexibility in project timelines, schedules, and field conditions • Operate motor non-CDL vehicles for the transport of field personnel and equipment
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years environmental or similar field experience
- Experience with environmental sampling techniques
- Understanding and familiarity with Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Active OSHA 24- or 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred
- Previous GIS platform experience is preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of hours worked
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
