Senior/Mid-level MSS Analyst – OT/ICS Security

SEK Security Ecosystem Knowledge

• Dedicated to the operation of monitoring and managed response (MSS/MDR) • Monitor, triage, and investigate alerts and incidents in OT/ICS environments • Conduct root cause analyses for events involving PLCs, HMIs, and RTUs • Correlate OT events with IT telemetry • Support the Detection Engineering team in building and refining use cases • Maintain and evolve clients' OT asset inventories • Participate in OT vulnerability management cycles • Serve as the technical point of contact in meetings with industrial clients • Produce technical and executive reports on investigations conducted

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in industrial environments (plant, utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, energy, water/wastewater or similar)
  • Solid understanding of SCADA/DCS architectures, the Purdue model, zone and conduit segmentation (IEC 62443), and IT/OT convergence
  • Hands-on knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, historians, engineering workstations, and industrial protocols
  • Strong fundamentals in computer networks: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, NAT, packet capture and traffic analysis
  • Understanding of behavioral and requirement differences between OT traffic and traditional IT traffic
  • Previous experience in SOC, NOC, CSIRT, incident response teams, or equivalent roles
  • Fundamentals of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Technical English for reading documentation, advisories, and communicating with vendors/manufacturers
