Delivery Project Developer

Brown and Caldwell

• The Alternative Delivery Project Developer plays a critical role in driving successful collaborative delivery pursuits. • This position is responsible for pursuits with the highest levels of risk, ensuring strategic oversight and mitigation throughout the pursuit process. • They are responsible for establishing favorable commercial constructs that align with our best practices, safeguarding both profitability and client satisfaction. • Leveraging their extensive network of contractor relationships, the Collaborative Delivery Developer maintains and strengthens partnerships that are essential for integrated project success. • Contribute to pursuit and sales efforts, taking ownership of increasingly complex tasks and supporting strategic initiatives. • Identify and evaluate client needs utilizing robust knowledge of products/services and industry trends. • Cultivate and identify pursuit/sales with new and existing clients. • Partner with business units and contractors to foster relationships and ensure commercial constructs for teaming and execution. • Collaborate with senior team members on complex sales efforts and provide support where needed. • Participate in cross-functional teams to support project delivery and client engagement, with opportunities to lead components of strategic initiatives. • Assist in developing and executing operational strategies that support market growth and positioning. • Establish collaborative delivery methodologies and maintain robust engineering and construction delivery systems. • Perform risk management tasks and ensure all projects adhere to established guidelines. • May also assist others with critical or complicated sales and sometimes, project delivery. • Assist BC teams and client teams in defining, developing, and implementing a variety of collaborative delivery procurement strategies as a trusted advisor. • Support Client Service Teams in IPD related education and growth to targeted clients. • Understand client critical success factors. • Leverage existing relationships to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the critical success factors (CSFs) of client organizations (including the various departments and employees within the organization).

Job Requirements

  • Typically requires 10–15 years of experience in infrastructure programs and collaborative delivery
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiation and sales with the proven ability to close significant deals
  • Strong knowledge of commercial constructs for teaming and execution
  • Proficient in establishing and implementing collaborative delivery methodologies
  • Sound understanding of engineering and construction delivery, and risk management
  • Strong strategic thinking aptitude with the ability to drive market growth and positioning
  • Ability to successfully develop new business opportunities including: identifying program, design-build, and owner advisor opportunities; and making appropriate decisions on whether or not to pursue opportunities
  • Ability to identify suitable new markets for BC’s collaborative delivery services and to develop plans for initiating profitable client relations and projects in these new areas
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required.
