• Drive geospatial data and tooling needs for a large-scale project • Source geospatial data in many modalities • Build geospatial data automation and tooling in an AI/ML pipeline for new applications • Research and gather data for specific regions from different sources • Manage the coverage, freshness, quality, and cost of sourced data • Build and use automated tools to prepare data for AI/ML use • Collaborate with AI/ML teams and Pipeline and Product teams
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment
- Experience with GIS modalities and formats, including at least some of orthoimagery (e.g., GeoTIFF), point clouds such as LiDAR (e.g., LAS/LAZ), vector data (e.g., ESRI Shapefiles, GeoJSON, OSM), raster data storing elevation and terrain information such as DTM, DSM, and DEMs, and raster data storing landcover information
- Software engineering experience, including designing and architecting software
- Experience in Python for automation of common tasks and/or contributing to an existing toolset is required.

Role Description The Specialist - Outside Plant Analyst I - GIS will provide project support for outside plant engineering (OSPE). This position will work closely with a team of outside plant engineers to ensure that outside plant engineering deliverables created in GIS are completed accurately, on time, in scope, and on budget. This may include monitoring and management of project scope, budget, & timeline. This position will routinely perform project-based GIS outside plant records updates. This position is expected to work a standard Monday through Friday, 40-hour schedule. Availability during core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST is required.
