Service Technician, Patient Monitoring
Philips
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on medical devices according to manufacturer specifications, maintenance instructions and PM processes • Perform installations on medical devices according to installation manuals • Carry out technical modifications (Field Change Orders / FCOs) on-site according to FCO instructions/process • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and technical modifications (FCOs) remotely as required • Conduct technical handover for commissioning to “ready for patient use” • Perform corrective maintenance (CM) and repairs with partially known fault resolution paths (AP/KP) on medical devices, including guided CM with remote support as the executing on-site technician • Provide assistance and support during service activities (Helping Hand) • Collaborate with and share relevant information with Sales (e.g., CSA, upgrades, PLS) • Support internal and external partners with maintenance activities • Support Sales / Product Line with technical inquiries • Document all activities and create technical reports according to Philips quality criteria (Service Record Quality) • Document and report safety-relevant defects or risks according to the Customer Feedback Process • Act as a medical device advisor in accordance with §83 of the Medical Devices Implementation Act (MPDG) • Comply with all relevant Philips processes
Job Requirements
- Successfully completed technical training or vocational qualification in medical technology, electrical engineering, IT, network technology or a related discipline
- Several years of professional experience, ideally in field service
- Additional special training (e.g., IT or medical technology)
- Knowledge of medical technology and basic clinical knowledge
- Standard IT and networking skills
- Good internal and external communication skills
- Reliability, dependability and professional demeanor
- Cross-departmental teamwork (team player)
- Regional mobility and very high travel readiness (>90%)
- Willingness to work weekends
- Willingness to participate in extended on-call duty and 24/7 standby
- Very good German and good English skills

MD&AA full-service, OEM-alternative for services, parts, and repairs for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, & Generators.
• Responsible for the installation of steam turbine packing and seals. • Precision measurements of existing packing rings and seals in order to manufacture replacement parts. • Removal of existing seals from turbine steam path. • Installation of new packing rings, spills strips, associated springs, and hardware. • On site machining of replacement seals to achieve design clearances (trimming butt gaps, hook adjustments, teeth adjustments, etc.). • Creation of daily log report / final installation data. • Upkeep and maintenance of portable machine shops. • Train other personnel as needed. • Must be willing to work significant overtime during busy periods.
