Biomedical Technician I

• Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment. • Drives customer satisfaction through service excellence. • Under supervision, evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, and as assigned, perform PM and safety/environmental inspections. • May assist more experienced technicians on basic and more complex repairs/resolution. • Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues. • Follow appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and completes necessary documentation. • Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow up, leading to strong customer relations and ongoing customer satisfaction. • Implement GE/customer facility contract and supports business goals/objectives. • Work as a member of local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area. • When trained, share on-call responsibility. • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule. • Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and ensure calibration. • Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal instruction. • Understand and utilize sources of help (i.e., manuals, tech support, Facetime app, online resources) to answer questions when performing PM. • Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field;
- OR equivalent military education;
- OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program;
- OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
- Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner.
- Must comply with GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
- Must comply with all customer access policies, including proof of required immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks (including federal government background check if assigned to support a contract with the federal government).

Seal Technician – OnSite Seals Services
MD&AA full-service, OEM-alternative for services, parts, and repairs for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, & Generators.
• Responsible for the installation of steam turbine packing and seals. • Precision measurements of existing packing rings and seals in order to manufacture replacement parts. • Removal of existing seals from turbine steam path. • Installation of new packing rings, spills strips, associated springs, and hardware. • On site machining of replacement seals to achieve design clearances (trimming butt gaps, hook adjustments, teeth adjustments, etc.). • Creation of daily log report / final installation data. • Upkeep and maintenance of portable machine shops. • Train other personnel as needed. • Must be willing to work significant overtime during busy periods.
• Install, start up, and service cooling equipment. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. • Replace faulty parts such as motors, sensors, relays, switches, actuators, and other components. • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections. • Read electrical wiring diagrams and basic technical drawings. • Test equipment and verify proper operation after repairs. • Complete service reports after each visit. • Provide professional customer service while working onsite. • Travel to customer locations when needed.
Role Description A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Traffic Technician to join our Traffic Engineering team in one of our Mid-Atlantic office locations. Location can be flexible for the right candidate. - Install and retrieve intrusive (rubber tubes) and non-intrusive (video cameras) traffic counting equipment. - Perform site visits to document conditions. - Perform manual vehicle-occupancy counts and parking surveys. - Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs as needed. - Must be willing to travel regionally within MD, WV, VA, and NC. - Night work may occasionally be required. Qualifications - 0-5 years’ experience, willing to train. - Must have clean driving record.
