MCE Technician

• Perform the removal and replacement of major wind turbine components such as gearboxes, generators, and main shafts. • Utilize specialized tools and equipment for the safe and efficient exchange of components. • Ensure all exchanges meet required specifications and quality standards. • Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to diagnose issues with major components. • Perform necessary repairs and adjustments to ensure proper operation post-exchange. • Lead the commissioning process of newly installed components to ensure they are fully operational. • Perform functional testing and calibration of systems after component exchanges. • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Vestas and GE wind turbines to prevent component failures. • Diagnose and repair faults in major components to minimize downtime and maximize turbine performance. • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. • Maintain accurate records of component exchanges, maintenance, and repair activities. • Provide detailed reports on work performed, including any issues encountered and resolutions.

Job Requirements

  • High-School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience using basic power tools.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • No DWI/DUI/OUI in the last 5 years.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb up to 300 ft. twice daily.
  • GWO certificates highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel 100% and be away from home.
  • Proven experience with Vestas and GE wind turbines.
