• Serve as the primary coverage advisor for complex personal lines matters • Review, analyze, research, and assist in the resolution of litigated and non-litigated coverage and extra-contractual claim matters • Evaluate policy language, claim facts, legal authorities, and applicable state laws to identify coverage issues • Provide guidance and consultation to casualty and homeowner claims personnel regarding coverage questions • Escalate highly complex, novel, or high-risk coverage issues to senior specialists and leadership as appropriate • Monitor legal, regulatory, and case law developments and communicate relevant impacts to claims partners and leadership • Support the development and delivery of coverage and product training materials for claims personnel and business partners
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of claims, legal, insurance coverage, or related professional experience
- High School diploma required
- Experience supporting litigated claims or coverage-related matters
- Experience handling casualty, homeowner, or coverage-related claim matters
- Demonstrated ability to analyze policy language and legal authorities
- Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds
