Director - Global Shared Services

Rehlko

Role Description The Director – Global Shared Services (GSS) is responsible for delivering shared service delivery operations (Hire to Retire, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Record to Report) for a global organization. This role is also responsible for leading the global payroll activities for a manufacturing workforce that includes hourly plant employees, union labor, shift‑based operations, and salaried staff. The position collaborates with key stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement and HR functions to deliver expected results across all our Joint Accountability Agreements (JAA). The position provides stewardship to assure that KPI/SLAs, quality, operating budgets, and customer satisfaction objectives are achieved. - Develops and executes a comprehensive strategy for the Global Shared Services team to ensure alignment with the organization's HR & Finance objectives. - Provides visionary leadership to a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Drives the implementation of best practices, policies, and procedures to enhance service delivery and optimize operational efficiency. - Oversees the end-to-end HR & Finance shared services operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of services across the global landscape. - Monitors service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement. - Collaborates with stakeholders to streamline processes, standardize workflows, and implement automation tools to enhance productivity and reduce manual efforts. - Champions continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and service delivery optimization. - Stays up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, integrating these insights to drive innovation within the shared services function. - Collaborates with IT on system implementation/enhancement initiatives to the extent impacting the shared service function. - Ensures adequate and timely root cause analysis to understand problem drivers and implementation of necessary corrections and/or changes. - Identifies and drives process automation including robotics. - Experience leading payroll’s role in strategic initiatives such as M&A integration, new market entry, or global expansion. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or related field required, with a preference towards a master’s degree. - 7+ years of experience in information technology, finance, or human resources within a global shared services function. - Knowledge of RPA technologies and SAP R/3 experience. - Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. Requirements - The Salary range for this position is $166,400.00-$216,850.00. - The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Responsibilities - Identify, prioritize, and troubleshoot ESS equipment and operational incidents in accordance with customer business requirements, organizational policies, and operational impact. - Collaborate with Product Development Team to ensure operational sustainability point of view is considered during NPI. - Create KPIs to analyze and discover possible growing issues and opportunities for improvement. - Develop tools and processes to support continuous improvement initiatives. - Create new rules for our data engine, to support strategic root cause corrections. - Provide timely response to all incidents, outages, and performance alerts. Categorize issues for escalation to appropriate technical teams. - Document all actions in accordance with standard company policies and procedures. - Coordinate with field technicians during installation and operational issue resolution. - Work with internal and external technical and service teams to support both temporary and permanent solutions to system issues, and to create and/or update knowledge base articles. - Perform basic systems testing and operational tasks (Installation of patches, network connectivity testing, script execution, etc.). - Lead multiple ad hoc technical teams in operational environments with high uptime requirements. - Train and Support Tier 1 team on new Systems, Devices and Projects. Requirements - BS degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related field. - 1-3+ years’ experience with systems that incorporate batteries, solar, and power conversion systems. - Aptitude to quickly learn new systems/technical applications. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented personality, demanding high quality performance from self and colleagues. - Basic knowledge of network communication architectures and protocols. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and Stem technical personnel in high stress situations. - Ability to think creatively to resolve problems. - Experience with Jira & Confluence, SQL, Python, Linux/command line, Big Data visualization, relational databases are a plus. - Knowledge in electrical power and metering systems a plus.
