• Own the design of a product area end to end — strategy, flows, edge cases, and shipped quality. • Design flows, not just screens — identify where users will get stuck before they do, and treat self-service (onboarding, activation, recovery) as a primary discipline. • Close the gap between design and shipped product — pair with engineering during implementation, catch regressions, and contribute directly in code: Pluma components, production UI fixes, interaction prototypes. • Contribute actively to Pluma, our design system — use it well, propose extensions thoughtfully, fix inconsistencies, and step into stewardship of components adjacent to your work. • Develop a point of view on AI in your product area — prototype the interaction, not just the screen, and treat uncertainty, latency, and reversibility as real design factors. • Partner with PM and Engineering on roadmap and tradeoffs — bring UX into the conversation early, push back when it shortchanges the user, and own the quality of your area over time. • Mentor designers earlier in their career through pairing, critique, and the example set by your own work.

Full TimeRemoteTeam 300Since 2011

Role Description The modern tech stack has collapsed the distance between designing an experience and shipping it. We're hiring Staff Product Designers to build the next generation of Babylist by leveraging this reality. The Staff Product Designer is the durable design owner of a major Babylist experience - the person the rest of the company looks to when a hard question about that experience has to get answered. Equal parts skilled designer, hands-on researcher, and AI-enabled builder, you own how things feel, think broadly about user flows across the full Babylist experience, and hold the vision for whether something is intuitive, beautiful, and emotionally right for the user. - You work alongside product managers, engineers, and data partners, driving the experience layer and ensuring every interaction meets both the functional and emotional needs of our users to drive impactful outcomes for the business. - You flex beyond the basics by running research, standing up working prototypes (in hours not days), and contributing to production-quality front-end code ensuring polish is never a trade-off. - You help Babylist make the transition into AI-native product development by setting the standard others adopt for what an AI-native designer does every day. - You shape how parents discover products, build their registry, receive gifts, and navigate early parenthood across web and native mobile. These are not casual interactions. Families are making decisions during one of the most meaningful and overwhelming transitions of their lives. The experience has to be easy to use, easy to understand, and worthy of the trust they place in us. Qualifications - Craft and experience obsessed. - A systems thinker. - Industry aware and pattern fluent. - Human-and-data-centered. - A product strategist. - Critical thinker. - Feedback fan. - AI-native. - A real builder. - Outcome owner. - Adaptable to change. - Excited about the AI transformation. Requirements - Own a customer journey or major product experience end-to-end. - Set the design vision for your experience. - Design and build experiences that drive outcomes. - Define excellence. - Stay deeply connected to users. - Contribute to and evolve Babylist's design system. - Operate with agency. - Build with AI-native workflows. - Write production frontend code. - Scale design democratization. - Develop the designers around you. - Multiply your team. - Be a flexible operator. Benefits - Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance. - Retirement savings plan with company matching and flexible spending accounts. - Generous paid parental leave and PTO. - Winter Wonder Week: the whole company takes a paid week off at the end of the year. - Remote work stipend to set up your office. - Perks for physical, mental, and emotional health, parenting, childcare, and financial planning.

Role Description We are building our own product components — cashier, gamification, feeds — that ship natively to iOS, Android and web, powered by the EveryMatrix core. You are the first product design hire who owns how they look, feel and behave across all three channels. This is a hands-on IC role. You design, you ship, and you work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering every day. No hand-off-and-walk-away. What you'll do - Own the end-to-end UX of our components — flows, interaction, visual design, edge/empty/error states — from first sketch to shipped pixels. - Design once, render three times. Define each component as a single design spec that iOS, Android and web all implement. - Build and steward our design system and design tokens — colour, type, spacing and component patterns shipped as one versioned, governed token set. - Shape the composable architecture itself. Sit in the architecture conversation with engineering. - Design within hard boundaries. Regulated and money state lives in EveryMatrix; editorial content lives in our CMS. - Define behaviour parity — success, empty, expiry, error — once, so three platforms don't invent three different screens. - Move at startup speed. Work in fast, tight loops with creatives, engineers and product. Qualifications - 5+ years designing shipped digital products, with deep hands-on craft in interaction and visual design. - Proven experience designing native mobile (iOS and Android) alongside web — and a real grasp of where the platforms differ. - You think in systems and components, not just screens. You have built or owned a design system and worked with design tokens. - Highly collaborative and fast. Comfortable designing in the open, iterating live with creatives and engineers. - Fluent in Figma; able to spec a component so an engineer can build it without guessing. - Strong communicator who can hold a clear design rationale and defend the user against scope creep. Requirements - iGaming, fintech, or other regulated/real-money product experience (nice to have). - Worked against a third-party backend or platform (EveryMatrix or similar) and a headless CMS (nice to have). - Familiarity with accessibility standards and localisation (we launch in Danish, then Finnish and Romanian) (nice to have). - Interest and experience with agentic AI products and workflows (nice to have). The first 90 days - Get fluent in the brand design system and language, app architecture and constraints. - Partner with engineering to stand up the design-token and component foundations. - Ship the design for our first owned component, the cashier, across all three channels. Location We would prefer you based in London. We will consider a fully remote arrangement for an exceptional candidate.
