Senior Internal Accountant, Accounting Lead

• Oversee and Manage Global Accounting: Serve as the primary point of contact for accounting matters across our legal entities in Austria, the UK, the US, and Singapore. • Local Reporting Oversight: Coordinate and review the work of our external local accountants to ensure accurate preparation of local financial statements (equivalent to Bilanzbuchhaltung). • Consolidation and Reporting: Drive the preparation of the consolidated financial statements (Group accounts) using our consolidation tool, Joiin. • Oversee Bookkeeping and Invoicing: Own bookkeeping & invoicing processes across group entities, ensuring accurate transaction recording and timely customer billing. • System Integration and Maintenance: Leverage your technical understanding to manage and optimise the flow of financial data across our core tech stack: Stripe (Payments), Chargebee (Subscription Management/Invoicing), and Xero (Accounting). • Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in our accounting processes, particularly related to the integration points between our financial systems. • Ad-Hoc Projects: Support the finance team with budgeting, financial analysis, and other strategic projects as the company scales.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Group Accountant, or Consolidation Specialist.
- Solid knowledge of international accounting standards and financial statement preparation (equivalent to Bilanzbuchhalter or Konzernbuchhalter experience).
- Demonstrable experience with modern, cloud-based accounting systems, particularly Xero.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple entities and external stakeholders simultaneously.
- Fluency in English (German is a plus, particularly for the Austrian entity).
- Direct, hands-on experience with our core finance tech stack: Stripe and Chargebee.
- A strong understanding of the technical integrations between subscription management (Chargebee), payment processing (Stripe), and the general ledger (Xero).
- Experience with Joiin for financial consolidation.
- Familiarity with BMD software for the Austrian market.
- Experience working in a fast-paced technology/SaaS environment.
