Senior Manager Event Marketing

Role Description The Sr. Manager, Event Marketing is responsible for owning and executing Ncontracts' industry conference program — one of the Marketing’s most significant pipeline-generating channels. This role manages a portfolio of 100–120 national and state association events annually across exhibitor, sponsorship, and speaking engagement participation, with direct accountability for pipeline contribution, lead generation, and measurable event ROI. The role directly manages 2 employees. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a data-driven mindset, and familiarity with the financial institution association landscape. They are comfortable managing high volume without sacrificing quality, understanding how to connect event activity to pipeline outcomes, and are a reliable partner to both sales and marketing stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities - Industry Event Program Management - Own the full lifecycle of 100–120 annual industry conferences — from event selection and contracting through onsite execution and post-event follow-up. - Manage national and state association events, tradeshows, speaking engagements, customer summits, field events and new event programming in new verticals. - Evaluate event performance against pipeline and retention benchmarks; make data-informed recommendations on portfolio optimization. - Run quarterly assessments of events and lead generation processes and adjust as needed. - Continually innovate ideas for sponsorship deliverables and activations. - Manage association partner relationships, including contract negotiations, vendor management, and sponsorship fulfillment. - Track and report event ROI, lead generation, and pipeline contribution; use data to optimize the annual event portfolio and inform budget decisions. - People Leadership - The role directly manages 2 employees. - Provide coaching, development support, and day-to-day oversight. - Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture consistent with Ncontracts' values. - Sales & Cross-Functional Partnership - Serve as the primary Events liaison to the Sales team for industry conference planning and post-event follow-up. - Support post-event lead routing, follow-up accountability, and Salesforce pipeline attribution in partnership with marketing ops. - Assist sales team members with proper lead capturing best practices. - Collaborate with Marketing channels on pre- and post-event campaigns tied to industry events. - Ncontracts-Produced Events Support - Support the Events team with fulfillment of Ngage (Annual User Conference) and other Ncontracts-produced events. - Participate in the Ngage logistics committee; other committees may be assigned as needed. - Assist with pre-con training and onsite coordination for hosted events as needed. - Operational Excellence - Support annual calendar planning and ongoing event budget management and reconciliation. - Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure program goals and KPIs are achieved. - Communicate program logistics to key stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination. - Manage pre-con trainings with cross-departmental colleagues to review onsite expectations. - Remain available during events (including nights and weekends) for any onsite troubleshooting needs. - Alert manager about risks and deviations to plan and make recommendations for corrective action. - Oversee event marketing software selection, maintenance, and ongoing continuous improvement (project management platforms, event technology such as iCapture, Cvent, HubSpot, etc.). Qualifications - Confident managing multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize projects in a fast-changing environment while still meeting deadlines. - Dynamic self-starter who takes initiative and is highly reliable. - Strong verbal and written communication skills; polished and professional when dealing with association contacts, vendors, colleagues, and executive management. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret proposal requirements, contracts, or other legal documents. Requirements - 7+ years of relevant experience planning corporate events, conferences, or marketing programs in a Corporate environment. - Experience with financial institution association events strongly preferred. - Proven ability to manage a high-volume event portfolio with strong attention to detail. - People management experience preferred. - HubSpot and Salesforce experience required; familiarity with Cvent, iCapture, and project management tools (Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, or similar) a plus. - Comfort with AI tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.
